It is a rare find in the city…a home with absolutely spectacular views of the Parroquia and all of San Miguel, and yet a short walk to many of the things you will want to see during your stay: the Jardin, the Art Institute, wonderful restaurants, amazing galleries, and so much more.
Casa De Las Vistas is located on a lovely, walkable street in the vibrant neighborhood of San Antonio. Far enough away from the commotion of the city center, and yet only a 12-minute walk to the Parroquia. You will feel the charm of a truly authentic Mexican neighborhood as you approach this stunning hacienda on bougainvillea-lined cobblestone streets with friendly neighbors, an occasional visit by a flock of parakeets, and even 'free-range roosters' you'll encounter wandering down the street.
The home itself is magical with hand-crafted touches throughout–cantera stone fireplaces, brick boveda ceilings, carved wooden doors, and wonderful artwork. You enter the home into a magical, lush courtyard with a large beautiful fountain–the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The courtyard opens into a stunning living room, dining room, and kitchen with all the charm AND modern amenities you would want.
The second floor features two beautiful bedrooms each with their own striking private bathroom and walk-in closet. Move onto the third floor and you will find a third bedroom (or study if you prefer) with another colorful bathroom. This floor also includes the hacienda’s amazing covered terrace with a view of the Parroquia, state-of the art grill, bar table for 6, and comfortable sitting area to savor the views, enjoy a book, or chat about the day you have had in San Miguel.
Climb the spiral staircase and you will discover the two rooftop terraces that are all about the views! One terrace features a beautiful Talavera table that seats 6 people and overlooks the entire city. The second terrace has the same incredible vistas with two comfortable lounge chairs and even enough room if you’d like an area for your morning yoga. Day and night, the terraces offer something of interest–enjoy hot air balloons in the morning, hear neighborhood birds and roosters, and see the church and city light up at dusk.
All in all, it would be hard to find a more memorable spot to enjoy your stay in the UNESCO world heritage city of San Miguel de Allende!
